The Rebreather Training Council is a body representing leading training organizations that offer rebreather training. Presently, ten organisations are members and work together to exchange information and create agreed training standards and operational protocols. In 2017, the RTC published the RTC Recreational Rebreather Diver Level 1 standard, now, the RTC has also published the RTC Technical Rebreather Diver Level 1. The RTC is working on further, higher level standards that will continue to improve diver safety and standardise global rebreather training.
